Hyodoko is a Lao-Australian 2D animator, illustrator, storyboard artist, and character designer from Naarm/Melbourne.

Real name Anthony Thanaxay, he is passionate about creating original characters and stories shaped by Southeast Asian culture and underrepresented perspectives.

Holding a Bachelor of Animation from Swinburne University, he has worked across short films, games, and motion-captured projects, including TANK (Best Animation – London International Film Festival 2022), Wonderfully Made (screened at Cannes Short Film Festival 2022), and Judges of Being, which was presented at Marché du Film at Cannes Film Festival 2025.

He recently attended Annecy International Animation Film Festival and Mifa 2026, connecting with artists and studios from around the world.
